Kotavehera at Wellawaya

Kotavehera is in Alutwewa village of Wellawaya Divisional Secretariat Division of the Monaragala District of the Uva Province.

It could be reached by proceeding along the Hambegamuwa-Kaltota footpath located 4 miles to the North from Hambegamuwa.

A small Dagoba and around it the remains of a retaining wall located on a rock platform is found in this site. Near the Dagoba is  a circle carved on the rock of about 3½ feet in diameter.
